Christmas in Lindale, parade arrives Saturday


The always popular Christmas in Lindale celebration and the accompanying Lindale Rotary Club Christmas Parade will kick off this Saturday, Dec. 1, with the parade stepping off at E.J. Moss Intermediate School at 6 p.m.

From E.J. Moss, the parade will turn north on Highway 69 and conclude in the parking lot of Lindale’s First Baptist Church.

The Christmas in Lindale celebration, which will feature the lighting of the city Christmas Tree at 7:30 p.m., will take place from 7 p.m.-9 p.m.

Inside Picker’s Pavilion, youngsters will be able to meet Santa Claus and have their picture taken with the magical elf.

Other activities include face painting for the youngsters and performances by local dance studios. Plenty of food items, games and prizes will be part of the evening’s activities as well.

Santa’s Bake Shop

Santa’s Bake Shop, one of the tastiest destinations for Lindale area residents during the holiday season, will be open for business on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Lillie Russell Memorial Library, officials said.

The bake shop will be set up in the community room at the library and will be open for business 11 a.m.-9 p.m.

In addition to cookie sale, there will be Reindeer Games for the youngsters with an arm band purchase $3 each.
