Funeral services for Freddie Dwayne Layton, Sr., 73, of Lindale were held Friday, Jan. 26, 2018 at the New Harmony Baptist Church with Brother Robbie Caldwell officiating.
Interment was in the Lindale City Cemetery with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale.
Mr. Layton died Monday, Jan. 22, 2018 in a Tyler hospital. He was born in Gadsden, Ala. on Aug. 11, 1944 to the late Fred and Ruby Louise (Vinyard) Layton.
He served in the U.S. Army and was retired from Coca-Cola after 21 years. He had also worked for the Hideaway Lake Cart Barn and was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Layton; sister, Geneice Gilmore; and grandmother, Maude Davenport.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Ann Layton of Lindale; sons, Freddie Dwayne Layton, Jr. of Lindale, Jonathan Layton of Lindale, Jeffery Layton of Lindale and Jeremy Layton of Hideaway; daughter, Krystle Furr of Red Springs as well as several grandchildren.
