The Lindale Community Theater players continue their ninth full season with Nora and Delia Ephron’s “Love, Loss, and What I Wore,’’ scheduled to take the stage beginning Friday, April 13 at the theater, located at 109 W. Hubbard Street in downtown Lindale.
Based on the 1995 book of the same name by Ilene Beckerman, this production includes some adult themes.
Show dates are April 13, 14, 15 – 20, 21, 22. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Doors open 45 minutes prior to show time.
Starring Cynthia Sanders, Kay McEntire, Beth Walker, Luane Chancellor and Noel Weems, “Love, Loss, and What I Wore’’ is a series of monologues from these five performers which explores women’s relationships and wardrobes -- and the interaction between the two -- using the female wardrobe as a time capsule of a woman’s life.
Initially presented as a part of the 2008 summer series at Guild Hall in East Hampton, N.Y., the show was produced Off-Broadway in late 2009 at the Westside Theatre and is the second-longest running show in that theatre’s history.
In 2010, it won the “Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience’’ and the Audience Award for Favorite New Off-Broadway Play by Broadway.com.
“Love, Loss, and What I Wore’’ has been produced on six continents as well as eight countries. In 2011 in Chicago, the production began a national tour of the United States.
Adult tickets are $15, students $12, 12 and under $8. Tickets will be available at the door or online at www.lindalecommunitytheater.org. There is a convenience fee added to all credit or debit card purchases.
