Lindale High School grad earns Dean’s List honors at Samford

Hannah E. Saunders of Lindale was named to the fall 2017 Dean’s List at Samford University, school officials announced.

Samford is located in Birmingham, Ala.

Saunders is a Junior Language and World Trade major.

The school releases dean’s lists after the close of the fall and spring semesters each academic year. To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework.

Dean’s List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

Founded in 1841, Samford is the 87th oldest institution of higher education in the United States and enrolls 5,509 students from 45 states and 30 countries in its 10 academic units: arts, arts and sciences, business, divinity, education, health professions, law, nursing, pharmacy, and public health.
