Lindale residents honored by Austin Bank


Three Lindale residents were recently honored by Austin Bank during the company’s 2017 Service Award Luncheon held at Willow Brook Country Club in Tyler, publicity officials announced.

Lindale recipients included Kelly Kizer, Courtney Watts and Melissa Danaher.

“We are proud of all these employees because they work as a team serving our friends, neighbors and businesses located here in East Texas,” said Austin Bank Vice Chairman Jeff Austin III. “They are the key to our Bank’s success. Each one takes pride in the tasks they handle in their job; and at the same time these employees continually strive to provide excellent service to our Bank customers.”

This year’s annual luncheon honored a group of 59 employees with a combined total of 760 years of experience.

“At Austin Bank our employees are the difference and perpetuate Austin Bank’s legacy. Each one has earned and deserves this recognition for their dedicated commitment to the Bank and its customers. We are proud of their contributions and accomplishments,” said John P. Williams, President and CEO.

Kizer and her husband, Rob, have two children, one grandson and live in Lindale. She has been with Austin Bank for 10 years and serves as the Retail Office Manager in the Lindale office, previously managing the Grand Saline location. Kizer is a graduate of Lindale High School and member of the Austin Bank Leadership Class of 2010.

Watts is a Universal Banker and Banking Officer at the Lindale location with 15 years of banking experience. In her tenure with the bank she has served many roles in several Tyler offices.

Watts, a long-time resident of Lindale, is a graduate of Lindale High School and the American Bankers Association Certified Customer Service Representative program. She and her husband, Anthony, have three sons – Connor, Cason and Cory.

Danaher, Loan Assistant, has more than 20 years of banking experience, spending the past five at Austin Bank. With experience in all areas of banking, Danaher worked in the Central Loan Department for the Bank before moving to her Loan Assistant position. A graduate of Lindale High School and Tyler Junior College, she and her husband, Tyler, have two children.
