Funeral services for Raymond Lance Jett, 88 of Hideaway, were held Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018 in the Hideaway Lake Community Church with Rev. Paul Garrison officiating.
Interment was held on Friday, Jan. 19 in the Edgewood Cemetery in Lancaster, Texas with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale.
Mr. Jett died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018 in a Tyler hospital. He was born April 11, 1929 in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas to the late Homer Raymond and Mattie Louise (White) Jett and graduated in 1946 from N.R. Cozier Technical High School in Dallas.
He married his high school sweetheart, Betty Jean Hudler on April 19, 1947 and spent 36 years together until Betty’s death in April of 1983.
A few years later, he married Lillian Ann Miller on Aug. 1, 1986.
Mr. Jeff served in the U.S. Marine Corp Reserves in 1948 and being on active duty from Aug. 1, 1950 to Feb. 26, 1952.
Survivors include his loving wife of 31 years, Lillian Ann Jett of Hideaway; daughters Vicki Lynn Hogan of Weatherford and Susan Lynn Page of Olathe, Kan.; sons Raymond Dwayne Jeff of Carrollton, Texas, James Dwight Jeff of Fort Worth and James Arthur Jeff of Huntington, Texas.
Other survivors include nine grand children and 15 grandchildren.
