Whitehouse’s Carter plans run for 321st District Court


James Andrew Carter of Whitehouse has announced his candidacy for the 321st District Court of Smith County, publicity officials said.

Judge Carole Clarke currently presides over the 321st District Court.

Carter has operated a solo law practice in Tyler for the past 15 years. He earned an undergraduate degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and graduated from Texas Tech School of Law in 2001.

Along with his private family law cases, he serves on contract with the 321st Judicial District Court representing abused and neglected children involved in the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services cases.
