The annual Wine and Chocolate Affair, a key fund raiser for the Lillie Russell Memorial Library, is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Saturday, April 14 at the library, 200 East Hubbard in downtown Lindale, officials announced.
Tickets are $20 each or two for $35 and can be purchased at the Library, from Friends of the Library as well as at the door.
Participants can sample wine from local wineries and enjoy a sampler buffet of delicious finger foods and be entertained with live music from Todd Rinlee and the Tuxedo Cats.
Local businesses have donated items for the silent auction. There will be a raffle for a complete, spray-in bed liner for a standard pickup which has an estimated value of $450.
Raffle tickets can be purchased at the Library.
Everything, excluding wine, is included with the price of tickets.
All funds raised will benefit the programs of the Lillie Russell Memorial Library.
Other upcoming programs include:
-- Story Time each Friday beginning at 10:30 a.m. and will feature Story Time, songs, crafts and snacks.
-- Each Thursday, tax assistance will be offered by AARP through April 12. Call 903-882-1900 for more information.
-- Therapets have scheduled a visit for 10:30 -12 noon, Saturday, April 28. Call to sign up to enjoy at session with a Therapet.
-- On April 27, beginning at 10:30 a.m., one of the most popular attractions of the year arrives again when the friendly folks with the Osinga Dairy bring calves, sheep and goats waiting to be fed by youngsters. Cameras are a must for parents. Refreshments and goodie bags will be given out.
-- The annual Plant Sale will Saturday, May 12 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
-- Don’t forget about the Library’s policy. You must renew your card no later than March 31 to receive two years instead of one.
